UAE WORK GUIDE · Reviewed 15 October 2026

Build a focused UAE job search and check each offer before committing.

This is a job-search guide, not a live vacancy board. We do not guarantee employment or collect recruitment fees.

A practical weekly search plan

  1. Choose your target: identify two or three job titles that match your experience, preferred emirate and realistic salary needs.
  2. Prepare a clear CV: use a simple format, measurable achievements and role-specific keywords. Keep the information accurate and easy to scan.
  3. Build an employer shortlist: apply through company career pages and verify the recruiter independently.
  4. Track applications: record the company, role, application date, contact and next follow-up.
  5. Prepare for interviews: practise examples showing how you solved problems, improved results and worked with others.

Before you accept an offer

  • Verify the employer’s identity and contact the company using independently checked details.
  • Request the written salary breakdown, including basic pay and allowances.
  • Confirm the work location, working pattern, probation, leave and notice terms.
  • Ask who handles the work permit and residence process.
  • Compare the written offer with the employment contract before signing.

Use our salary and benefits checklist and employment rights guide.

Watch for recruitment scams

Be cautious with guaranteed offers, pressure to pay immediately, personal bank-account payment requests and recruiters who refuse to identify the employer. A visit or tourist visa does not authorise work. Check the official labour and visa fraud guidance, including how to verify a MoHRE job offer.

For employer-sponsored private-sector recruitment, the employer is responsible for recruitment and employment processing costs described in the official expatriate employment guide.

Make the transition carefully

Before leaving your current role, check notice obligations, your permit position and your final-settlement estimate. Keep written confirmation of agreed dates and avoid relying on verbal promises.
